Alex Hehmeyer

Alex is currently the President and founder of AMH Ventures a group that consults and provides capital to service based companies. Alex is an investor and consultant to Zone Café, a startup restaurant company founded by Dr. Barry Sears.

Prior to AMH, Alex had substantial experience in the postsecondary education market as the President of both Career Choices, Inc. and the California Culinary Academy, where he successfully sold both companies to larger public institutions. Alex also was a Managing Director of Richard C. Blum & Associates where he worked on both client transactions (IPOs, private equity and debt, and M&A) as well as General Counsel issues for the firm. Prior to this Alex worked for the investment banking firms of Sutro & Company as well as the Kriedel Organization.

Alex is also a director for several non-profit groups including Big Brothers, WildCare, and the Golden Gate Restaurant Association. Alex holds a JD from the University of California , Berkeley and a bachelors degree from Yale University.
